Truly, Truly - The Life of Jesus Christ Through His Own Words.
✨ Truly, Truly — The
Life of Jesus Christ Through His Own Words
A meditation for seekers of the Only Creator
There are many ways to tell the story of Jesus Christ. But there is a
special beauty in letting Him speak for Himself — in listening to the moments
when He begins with the solemn, tender call:
“Truly, truly, I say to you…”
These words, found throughout the Gospel of John, open a window into His
heart, His mission, and his eternal identity. Below is a quiet, reverent walk
through His life using every one of these sayings, gathered like pearls and
offered back to God.
🌟 The Son Revealed From Heaven
From the beginning, Jesus unveils His heavenly origin:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of
God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” (John 1:51)
He is the meeting place between God and humanity — the living bridge
between earth and heaven.
And later He declares the mystery of His eternal being:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8:58)
The One who walked among us is the One who is — the eternal, self‑existent
Lord.
🌿 The Call to New Birth
Jesus speaks of the doorway into God’s kingdom:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the
kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit
he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5)
He speaks not as a teacher guessing at truth, but as One who has seen the
Father:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and testify of what
we have seen.” (John 3:11)
🔥 The Son and the Father Working
as One
Jesus reveals the unity of His mission:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it
is something He sees the Father doing.” (John 5:19)
Every healing, every word, every act of mercy is the father’s heart made
visible through the Son.
🌅 The Gift of Eternal Life
Jesus speaks of the life He came to give:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes Him who
sent Me has eternal life.” (John 5:24)
“Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming… when the dead will hear
the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.” (John 5:25)
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.” (John 6:47)
“Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word, he will never see
death.” (John 8:51)
His mission is life — life that begins now and continues beyond the
grave.
🍞 The True Bread From Heaven
Jesus explains the meaning of spiritual nourishment:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread
out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread.” (John 6:32)
And He speaks of His own sacrifice:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man
and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.” (John 6:53)
He is the Bread of Life — the One who sustains the soul.
💔 The Truth About Sin
Jesus speaks with clarity and compassion:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of
sin.” (John 8:34)
He came not to condemn, but to free.
🐑 The Shepherd and the Thief
Jesus warns and comforts:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door… is a
thief and a robber.” (John 10:1)
He is the true Shepherd — the One who enters by the door, calls His sheep
by name, and leads them into life.
🌾 The Searcher of Hearts
Jesus reveals the motives of those who followed Him:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me… because you ate of the loaves
and were filled.” (John 6:26)
He invites us to seek Him not for earthly benefits, but for the eternal
truth of who He is.
